How to watch the California 13th Congressional District Debate

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The two candidates vying to represent California’s 13th Congressional district for the next two years, incumbent Rep. John Duarte, R, and former California Assembly Member Adam Gray, D, will face each other in a debate on Thursday, Oct. 31.

This year’s election will not be the first time the candidates have competed for the seat. Duarte first came to represent the 13th District in Jan. 2023 after a narrow 50.2% – 49.8% victory over Gray.

“DEBATE NIGHT IN CALIFORNIA: 13th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT” will take place at the studios of NewsNation affiliate KTXL FOX40 in Sacramento. The debate will be moderated by FOX40 News anchor and co-host of Inside California Politics, Nikki Laurenzo, and KGPE CBS47 News anchor Brian Dorman.

The race for the seat could help determine which party controls the House of Representatives.

How to watch the debate

The debate will be live and take place from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, and there are several ways to watch from anywhere in the congressional district, which stretches from the Modesto area to the Madera area in California’s Central Valley.

On television, the debate will be broadcast in the Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto areas on FOX40. In the Fresno and Visalia areas, it will be broadcast on CBS47.

Online, the debate will be livestreamed on FOX40.com and YourCentralValley.com.

In-app, the debate will also be viewable on the mobile apps for FOX40 and CBS47.
