Cruise line offers 4-year journey to ‘skip forward’ in wake of US presidential election
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — One cruise line is offering travelers a customized journey for up to four years, to “skip forward,” in the wake of the recent presidential election.
Villa Vie Residences, a residential cruising line, launched its “Tour La Vie” program with four different options to choose from on the Odyssey.
Their unique approach allows residents to join at any port during the global adventures for up to four years, all for less than $40,000 per year.
Although the trip doesn’t explicitly say that their exclusive offer is directly a result of the aftermath of the election, the getaway is for the duration of a full presidential term.
The cruise line offered the following named trips:
1-Year Escape from Reality
2-Year Mid-Term Selection
3-Year Everywhere but Home
4-Year Skip Forward
The journey will hit 425 ports across 140 countries. Villa Vie Odyssey will first spend a month in the Caribbean, before venturing out on a four-month trip to South America, including two Panama Canal transits, two World Wonders, the Chilean Fjords, an Antarctic sail-by, Carnival in Rio, and eight days in the Amazon River.
“Villa Vie Odyssey, which is home to up to 600 Residents, just entered its 2nd month of its 15-year tour around the world,” the cruise line said. “She’ll visit all 7 continents, 13 of the World Wonders and over 100 tropical islands along the way.”
The ship began its first three-and-a-half-year cruise in October, after several months of delays, following a multi-million-dollar transformation.
Villa Vie Residences is a new world cruise brand purchased from the Fred Olsen Cruise Lines ship, The Braemar.
